Premiere / Rollout at the Wörthersee
The successful Wolfsburger Facelift of the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R is a real challenge to the senses and also for the designers and engineers at OETTINGER. Already in the 1970’s OETTINGER developed the very first 16V engine on which basis the GTI version of the Golf I went on to conquer the world – the, to this day, most iconic tuning GTI. Since then the Golf GTI/GTD, as well as later the Golf R, are particularly emotional projects within OETTINGER. So much of the company’s history is related to these models.  Now it’s time again! Golf VII pilots look expectantly towards Friedrichsdorf in Hessen, then it is from here that the OETTINGER engineers and designers traditionally set the benchmark at the highest level for the skilful further development of every new model. Premiere / Rollout at the Wörthersee from the 24th to 27th of May 2017 at the legendary GTI meet in Reifnitz OETTINGER Golf GTI, the sharpened version of the GTI sets the pulse racing – the OETTINGER aerodynamic package causes additional beats per minute. Front spoiler, front splitter, side skirts together with a 4 tail pipe rear diffuser impressively set the Golf GTI facelift in scene. The boldly styled roof spoiler with open racing flaps enhances the sporty lines of the OETTINGER Golf GTI at the rear of the vehicle. Striking appearance, imposing sound – the 4 tail pipe sports exhaust system (90 mm / 3½” cross section) of the GTI indicates what’s under the skin. Owners of the Golf GTD can also rejoice: The complete OETTINGER GTI aerodynamic package also fits the performance version with 2.0 TDI technology, the Golf GTD.  OETTINGER Golf R, a real power pack – and you can tell. With the OETTINGER aerodynamic components the visual performance is driven to its pinnacle. The OETTINGER aerodynamic package consists of a front spoiler, adjustable front splitter, side skirts and an impressive 4 tail pipe rear diffuser. The Golf R front spoiler and rear diffuser were specifically developed purely for the Golf R, in order to strengthen and emphasise the individual design of the Golf R over the GTI und GTD. The striking roof spoiler with the newly developed R-Wings provides a professional motor sport appearance and down force together with the sonorous quad 90 mm (3½”) tail pipes.  As we have come to expect from OETTINGER, all aerodynamic components are produced from high quality RIM to OEM standards and have been tried and tested in the wind tunnel under the most extreme conditions. The aerodynamic parts will be available exclusively from Volkswagen Accessories via the VW Importers and VW Dealers / VW Partner / VW Garages. For the drivers of the Golf GTI/GTD and Golf R with sporting ambitions, OETTINGER offers a comprehensive programme with genuine motor sport genes. It includes engine conversions for the Golf GTI up to 380 HP (DIN) and for the Golf R up to 500 HP (DIN), complete engine rebuilds with forged pistons and steel con rods, gearbox upgrades, strengthened DSG clutches for up to 650 Nm (479 lb/ft), high performance brakes, complete exhaust systems from the turbocharger, coil over suspensions, alloy wheels and lots more…..
