Made for the street – Born on the track: OETTINGER TCR Germany Street
Finalised! A few months after the celebrated premiere, and following intensive work on various testbeds and test runs on test and race tracks, the road legal OETTINGER TCR Germany Street based on the Golf GTI and Golf R can now be ordered. The new owner of an OETTINGER TCR Germany Street also has more excitement to look forward to, then with the purchase of a vehicle, they will be able to experience an exciting race of the TCR Series at first-hand, together with OETTINGER.  According to Rainer Friedmann, OETTINGER CEO and owner, „In particular the complex testing of the comprehensive conversion with respect to for pedestrian protection was an extreme challenge for the team“, he continued, „Without the necessary preparatory work, such a comprehensive conversion is unthinkable; it is the basis for a street legal homologation." The effort has paid off: the convincing proof is now provided by the all-wheel-drive OETTINGER TCR Germany Street #003, with 368 kW (500 HP DIN) and 550 Nm (406 lb/ft), and the front wheel drive OETTINGER TCR Germany Street #001 with 265 kW (360 HP DIN). Both complete conversions have been fully homologated for road use, and impressively demonstrate what is technically possible.  The competition genes are unmistakable in both vehicles. The width of the complete vehicle is increased by over 80 mm (3 1/8“). At the front, a wide front skirt with adjustable splitter attracts the eye. Functional: the bonnet/hood with vents for the engine bay. Further eye-catchers are the impressive front wings/fenders with the attractively styled wheel arch ventilation. The striking side skirts and rear wing/fender extensions are also extremely captivating. At the rear, the visual performance is driven to the absolute pinnacle by the widened skirt together with an imposing rear wing with Racing-Wings.  The OETTINGER TCR Germany Street Design Package is available immediately, starting at 9 980 Euro, the rear wing can be purchased for 1 390 Euro. The air intake for the bonnet/hood (490 Euro) is reserved for competition use only. The tuner can easily realise any customer wishes concerning engine tuning. OETTINGER offers a range of tried and tested 2.0 TSI engine enhancements. Performance kits producing up to 500 HP have already been realised using in house developed forged pistons.  Highlight in the interior: Driver and front passenger sit in low mounted sports seats (2 850 Euro). Embroidered TCR Germany Street scripts decorate the seat backs. The OETTINGER TCR Germany Street #003 is fitted with a 3-way Clubsport-adjustable suspension and 10x19“ forged rims wrapped in 265/30 R19 tyres. High-performance brake callipers and inner ventilated brake discs (380 x 32 mm / 15" x 11/4") at the front, assure excellent deceleration. Together with a roll cage from Wiechers, this is an ideal set up for chasing the best lap times on the track.
