Life happens in the great outdoors: The JE DESIGN Ateca “All Terrain” is at home in the countryside

  • Increased ground clearance for the lifestyle SUV
  • Complete conversion with street-legal approval
  • Power upgrade for the 2.0-litre diesel version

Put your smartphone down and climb off the sofa! The world outside pulsates with life, and JE DESIGN is excited to get you out there with their latest creation! A few weeks after the successful premiere of their “Ateca All Terrain Concept”, Europe's premier Seat tuner now presents their street-legal, light off-road capable version of this lifestyle SUV. Based on the Seat Ateca Reference, Style or Excellence 2.0 TDI 4Drive, the JE DESIGN “All Terrain” features a raised ride height and off-road tyres under muscular wheel arch extensions. At home off the beaten track, the “All Terrain” is the ideal companion for lovers of the country lifestyle.

Costing 158 euro, the bespoke JE DESIGN suspension lift increases the static ride height by 20mm, while the large diameter tyres raise the body a further 10mm. With this 30mm ground clearance increase providing improved approach and departure angles the “All Terrain” can now confidently cross moderately difficult terrain and ford shallow streams.

The tough off-road look is enhanced by matt black painted 6.5J x 16-inch “All Terrain” alloy wheels, wrapped in 215/65R16 off-road rubber. Priced at 1,999 euro this wheel and tyre set includes the 40mm spacers required to achieve the correct offsets.

Even in the city, the JE DESIGN Ateca “All Terrain” cuts a dash. The wider wheel arches increase overall width by 70mm, and their visible fixing screws (3,094 euro) and matt black textured paint underline the vehicle’s tough and purposeful look.

Other design accents created by Jochen Eckelt’s team are the front (650 euro) and rear (590 euro) top panels in matt silver, rear spoiler (417 euro) and rear window side strakes (179 euro). And when the sun dips below the horizon the roof-mounted LED light bars (1,190 euro) will show you the way home. The final and practical piece of the JE DESIGN styling programme is the sill protection strip in matt silver finish (99 euro).

Since the all-terrain tyres caps top speed at 180km/h a significant power increase would be pointless. Thus, the power boost from 190hp (140 kW) to 210hp (154 kW) is modest, while the peak torque of 400Nm is raised to 450Nm to aid low speed flexibility in both on and off-road conditions. Priced at 1,690 euro this engine conversion is TUV approved and comes with a comprehensive warranty.

Liberating a deeper and fuller soundtrack, the stainless steel sports rear silencer (899 euro) features a pair of 80mm diameter tailpipes per side. A less aggressive looking version has one oval (160 x 90mm) tailpipe per side.

All the above component prices are without fitting. The complete Ateca “All Terrain” conversion complete with TUV certification is available from JE DESIGN for 12,418 euro, or for 14,197 euro with the engine conversion.

The “All Terrain” conversion can be carried out on almost all Seat Ateca 5FP models apart from the FR and Cupra Ateca. The flared wheel arches, roof panel with LED light bar and the bumper protection are available separately for the FR and Cupra Ateca. The sports exhaust described above is exclusively for the FR model with 2.0-litre TDI 4Drive.
