Extended delivery program for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class: ST Coilovers for A45 AMG & Co. are now available
Mercedes-Benz already redefines with
the third generation of the A-Class (W176) the compact class. Now many
leasing returns are available and specifically for these models, ST
suspensions has launched a comprehensive range of different coilover
suspension kits. All ST coilovers upgrade handling and driving dynamics
of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class in everyday life. With the exclusively for
ST suspensions tailored KW dampers the A-Class (W176) rides sportier
and even at maximum payload a sufficient driving comfort is obtained.
The highlight of the ST suspensions coilover kits range is the ST XTA
kit with adjustable unibal top mounts and one-way dampers. The coilover
suspension allows a stepless lowering of up to 55 millimeters at the
front axle and 60 millimeters at the rear axle. The already factory
lowered A45 AMG with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive can additionally lowered
with the ST XTA kit by 40 millimeters at the front axle and 30
millimeters at the rear axle. ST suspensions also developed the ST X
kit with non-adjustable dampers for the A-Class with front-wheel-drive.
More at www.st-suspensions.net. In the compact sports segment, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG (W176) with all-wheel drive and engine performance of up to 381 hp is one of the sportiest models. ST suspensions now also offer the ST XTA coilover kit for the W176. Compared to other suspensions, the coilover kit has unibody-wheel bearings on the front axle and shock absorbers that can be adjusted in the rebound. With 16 click steps, the already preset setup of the suspension can be set tighter or more comfortable. The days when a coilover suspension was always the same or harder than a conventional suspension is long gone. By using shorter damper housings, the suspension travel on an ST coilover suspension can be slightly longer than with a standard suspension in conjunction with a lowering spring set. The A45 AMG lowered by the 4MATIC all-wheel drive and the standard sports suspension already ex-works can be further lowered by the ST XTA coilover kit.  At the front axle, the adjustment range is 20 to 40 millimeters; on rear axle height adjustment allows the chassis to provide an additional lowering of 15 to 30 millimeters on the rear axle. This corresponds approximately to a lowering of up to 55 or 60 millimeters on the A-Class (W176). The stepless lowering is performed at the front axle directly on the struts. Drivers of a Mercedes-Benz A-Class, who aren’t interested in a fully adjustable suspension should opt for the ST X coilover suspension kit. The ST X also offers like the ST XTA a stepless lowering of 25 to 55 millimeters on the drive axle and 30 to 60 millimeters on the rear axle. The setup of the KW dampers used in conjunction with the ST springs ensures an ideal balance of practicality and sporty handling. Even with full payload and maximum axle loads, the suspension dampens comparatively more comfortable than when lowered with a spring set. Even at high speeds on the highway, the ST suspensions coilover suspension ensures safe road holding.
