KW automotive Group grows further: Take-over of the brand ap Sportfahrwerke on May 1st 2019
The KW automotive GmbH located in the Swabian town Fichtenberg, continues to grow. On May 1st 2019, the brand ap Sportfahrwerke will be taken over and included into the portfolio of the company group that is specialized on individual suspension applications. “From now on, the sale of ap products will be carried out completely via the infrastructure of KW”, says Klaus Wohlfarth, one of the two Managing Directors of KW automotive. Furthermore, the US brand Solo Werks will operate under the new, world-wide lable ap Sportfahrwerke. “This way we can reach a world-wide uniform brand presence in the basic segment and position ap accordingly in all important markets”, Klaus Wohlfarth continues.  By taking over the brand ap Sportfahrwerke, the KW automotive GmbH completes its portfolio of high-quality suspension applications for a price-conscious target group and at the same time create new synergies at the location in Fichtenberg. In future, engineer services from KW will support into the development of new applications as well as in the optimization of existing product groups. Lowering springs and coilover kits from ap Sportfahrwerke will now carry the addition “a brand of KW automotive” and therefore will directly be recognizable on the market as a product of the company group.  Besides KW suspensions, the brands ST suspensions, ap Sportfahrwerke, LSD Doors and RaceRoom, are also a part of the company group KW automotive GmbH. At the headquarter in Fichtenberg, at present over 260 employees are working in manufacturing, development and sales. World-wide, the company group has more than seven international locations in the most important world markets like China, USA or Japan. Publication
